Founded in 1950, Steinberg, Steckler & Picciurro (SSP) is a regional accounting and consulting firm organized as a corporation under the laws of the State of New York. The Company has one main location in Midtown Manhattan. The firm currently has approximately twenty professional staff members all dedicated to providing accounting, auditing and consulting services to clients primarily in the Labor and Employee Benefits Plan Industries with a particularly emphasis in the Multiemployer Plan Area.

Our qualifications and experience includes among others, forty years of servicing Labor Organizations and their affiliated Employee Benefit Plans. We are a specialty practice focusing primarily on labor organizations and employee benefit plans. Our qualifications and experience are also evidence by our more than fifty ERISA Benefits Fund Clients, of which many are Taft Hartley Plans maintained pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreements between Unions and Employers. Additionally, ever three years we undergo a peer review directed by the division for CPA firms of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Our last peer review conducted through the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA resulted in an unqualified opinion.

The firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Private Company Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Our association with the the Private Company Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants subjects our firm to a peer review by other member firms every three years. This review assures our clients and the public that the quality of work performed by our firm meets the strict standards set forth by the accounting professions governing bodies. The firm is also a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. Our membership in the center is meant to make a powerful statement about our firms commitment to ensuring the integrity of employee benefit plan audits.

Trustees, plan participants, actuaries, bankers, bonding agents and others use financial statements that our firm audits. We joined the Division of CPA firms and have peer reviews because we think those people, our clients and our own staff deserve independents assurance that our firm provides a high quality service.
